The 2023 Pauling Medal has been awarded to Professor Laura Gagliardi, Richard and Kathy Leventhal Professor, University of Chicago.
The award will be presented to Professor Gagliardi at the 2023 Pauling Medal Symposium, to be held on November 4th, 2023 at the University of Puget Sound, Tacoma, WA. The Pauling Medal Symposium web page has details about the speakers, schedule, poster session and Banquet.
Registration for the poster session and symposium lectures are free, but the evening banquet is a ticketed event with registration and online advanced payment at the ACS PSS Webstore is required. (Banquet attendees will be directed to the payment portal on the registration form.) If you plan to present a poster or attend the awards banquet, we request that you submit your registration information by October 13th.

The Pauling Medal Award recognizes outstanding achievement in chemistry and is presented annually by the Puget Sound, Oregon, and Portland Sections of the American Chemical Society. The award is named after Dr. Linus Pauling, a native of the Pacific Northwest, because of the inspiration of his example. A nominee shall have made outstanding contributions to chemistry of a character that have merited national and international recognition.
