ACS CARES FOR SCIENCE AND SCIENTISTS

The ACS has continued its advocacy with strategic communication. The following activities and suggestions were shared with councilors during the recent meeting in WA DC.

  1. ACS continued its Non-Partisan engagement with the Administration and Congressional leaders. ACS Board of Directors met with 20+ members of Congress and their staff to advocate for robust research funding.
  2. ACS is also focusing on collaborative advocacy. ACS and other scientific organizations are working together to amplify advocacy efforts.
  3. The ACS community engagement efforts included 2,600+ letters sent through Act4Chemistry
  4. ACS has conducted a federal cut impact survey of chemistry departments.
