The Puget Sound Section won two ChemLuminary awards during the recent ACS meeting in Washington DC. From the ACS website quote” The ACS ChemLuminary Awards honor the best examples of programming, outreach, and operations from local sections, divisions, regional meetings, and international chemical sciences chapters.” The local section was honored for the 2024 trip to Eastern Washington organized by the Senior Chemists Committee and the 2024 Salute to Women in Science, 31 daily Facebook posts organized by the Women Chemists Committee. Councilors Despina Strong and Dharshi Bopegedera received the awards on behalf of the section.
